Terms and Agreement

The following terms are to be followed at all times by all players which agree to these terms.

Even though the rules listed below give the staff enough reason to delete or ban ships and accounts, the staff also reserves the right to do as such, if they deem necessary.

  1. No single user may have multiple accounts. In other words, no one computer can log into more than one existent account. There should be no reason for a single user to have multiple accounts. If more than one family member or similar situation arises in which two users share the same computer, an e-mail must be sent to brokenmetal@hotmail.com asking permission and clearly stating the reasons for the desire to use multiple accounts on a single computer. This must be done before creating the multiple account with Broken Metal. Such accounts must also never be played by anybody other than the original intended user.

  2. Cheating or exploitation of any kind is not allowed. This includes but is not limited to anything that gives a player an unfair advantage over the other players of the game. The following are all considered cheats or exploitations:

    1. Anything that has been made for Broken Metal which gives advantage to the playability of the game that has not been approved by the staff for public use. This usually means anything that is not found on the links page.
    2. Taking advantage of a bug is, by definition, an exploitation. Please report any bugs you find. Using them to your own advantage will be, in fact, to your disadvantage, since you will be punished or even deleted.
    3. Any exploit that is taken advantage of is highly forbidden. This will usually result in the deletion of the user in question's ship.

  3. Hacking the Broken Metal server in any way or the computers of operating staff members or players is not only forbidden, but is illegal. Any suspicion of illegal access to Broken Metal or corresponding systems will be reported to the proper authorities.

  4. Slander of Broken Metal through any means will result in permanent banishment from the game.

  5. Since Broken Metal is intended for nearly all age groups, profanities on the bulletin boards or within the game are not allowed, with the exception of private communications in which all pertaining parties have given their understood consent. Censorship workarounds are explicitly not allowed.

  6. The e-mail given when creating or modifying your account must be valid so that the staff will be able to contact you in the case of important updates, such as a changed address or vital information. Broken Metal will never give out your e-mail unless permission is given or it becomes a legal obligation.

Upon creating a new ship, it will be held under newbie status which lasts for one weeks time. During this period, it will not be able to trade or fight. However, a ship under newbie status will also be protected from other ships attempting to attack it.

Broken Metal uses cookies to allow features such as auto login and template changes. No private information which has been submitted through Broken Metal will be stored within cookies.

This agreement is subject to change. When it does so, users will be given the option of agreeing or disagreeing to the modified terms.

By clicking agree, you attach your electronic signature, thereby agreeing to follow what is stated above. If you choose to disagree, you will not be allowed to play Broken Metal until the terms have been agreed upon.
