The following are proposed 3d models of consept item graphics for Broken Metal. These are all rendered 3d graphics, meaning we could eventually make animated gifs or Flashwave screens that display rotating images of each object.

All graphic models and designs are copyright products of Broken Metal.

Side Arms Side Arms: An example of a side arm which uses the traditional old style handgun foundation, equipped with the most recent energy projectile and electrical optic sensory system.
Close Ranged Weapons Close Ranged Weapons: A commonly used close ranged weapon, equipped with the same optic system as many side arms, but carries an over-under firing capability, able to send out volleys of two variable preset energy projectiles. Both of the two projectiles are triggered with a separate trigger. The rear trigger a common pull trigger, the front being a more widely accepted two finger squeeze trigger.
Tactical Weapons Tactical Weapons: An example of a specific but standard issue tactical weapon, the EMP frag grenade. This grenade is commonly used both against organic targets as well as to disable energy weapons. A massive electromagnetic field is generated, powered by an internal Long Life Capacitor. Then a small charge is detonated, which destroys the magnetic field, sending out a collapsing style EMP pulse, destroying all fine electronic parts within a small area. Because of the destruction of the outer casing of the grenade, fragments of metal alloy is hurled several hundred feet, often severely injuring enemy and even friendly targets.
Rocketry Rocketry: This is the most commonly used 'Six Shooter' style rocketry weapon. A rotating frontal shaft is capable of firing up to six preloaded magnetically contained anti-mater 'mini pods', each capable of destroying an entire 30 x 30 foot room.
Long Ranged Weapons Long Ranged Weapons: Almost always the most effective are the long ranged weapons. This particular long ranged weapon is supported by a retractable and collapsible tripod, a Micro HUD (Heads Up Display) targeting system, and a frontal coolant barrel and compression system, capable of firing up to 22.5 electro static rounds per second.

The following are origional ship designs. The purpose of these designs is to practice up on my 3d skills, as minute as they are so that BM can eventually have a whole genre of 3D ships. These could be used for various things, such as splash screens, background images, player chosen ships, etc...

The following two images are screen shots of Neque's very useful planet creation program. Take note that the currently viewed system is not one of the three/four displayed on the star charts. This system will be one of the two new 'Shipyard' starting systems. Keep in mind, that in BM's coordinate system, when converting from X-Y to X-Y-Z coordinates (2d to 3d), the Z becomes the Y. In other words, in X-y-Z, y is the new coordinate. Also keep in mind that the system is not yet completed, as noted from the incomplete ring of asteroids orbiting Tyran.

This screen shot displays the new system from a top down view, or x - z view.

This screen shot displays the new system from a side view, or x - y view.

Editor Version 2

This screen shot is of Neque's new version of the planet editor. As you can see, it's map is now seperate from the main interface. It is now possible to change from three different sized versions of the map, and is also programmed to several hot keys to make planet editing much more simple. Besides a whole slew of new planet variable fields, it also hosts the option of viewing information on detected trade routs, while you imput them into the file. There were also several bug fixes as well as a new style in which the planet file is saved.
